Miss Abby, who is a not so humble domestic donkey moderates this blog dedicated to helping her wild cousins as they face the onslaught of mismanagement by governmental agencies. Miss Abby has teamed with Wild Burro Protection League, to bring awareness to the human public that wild burros are being completely eliminated from our western landscape. She is opinionated, but what do you expect from a donkey that lives at TMR Rescue where they tell her daily how valuable she is? And, she is.

SAMBUKA SAYS HELLO TO HIS SON, ALVIN.
Sambuka, who has always been a donkey lovin' kind of guy, strayed from the norm, when he met short eared Hattie. Well, it must have been the horsenality that got his attention because he strayed from donkeys, and fell for a horse. Of course, now that Alvin has arrived, the cat is out of the bag. Sambuka likes short ears. We donkeys will not hold it against him. In fact, I am glad he has broadened his horizons hee hee haw! Congratulations, my friend Sambuka.

What a handsome jack! Sambuka has never bred a horse before, so this is a huge event. It does mean we need to look at a couple of other suspiciously overweight mares who paid him a visit. We thought he wasn't interested since he would not go near them. (Not when we were looking, obviously)
